Over the years our perception
of what an engagement ring should "be" or should "look
like" has changed as much as the varying trends in clothing, cars
and housing has changed.
Apart from the very distinctive
"timeline" in jewellery from Early to Late Victorian, through
to Art Nouveau, Edwardian and later Art Deco, (to name a few), to
today's current Modern trends, the classical
"solitaire" is still very traditional and probably the
most popular engagement ring but by no means the be all and end all of what an engagement ring should
be.
In the 21st century, anything goes!
From simple solitaires to cluster
settings, from the popular 3-stone bands to designs based on late
Victorian styles, today's engagement rings are as individual as the
persons that wear them and reflect who they are, rather than what
tradition may dictate.
Even eternity (style) rings, once purchased
well after a couple were married to add to their existing engagement and
wedding rings, have become a popular "style" of engagement
ring for those who want to steer away from the still traditional single
diamond ring.
Following are a few examples of
engagement rings that we carry in our range but because "anything
goes", we urge you to look through our Products
Pages to view a larger variety of rings available, a lot of
which can be bought as an engagement ring...
