The Peninsula Resort is ideally located between Laycock St and Cliiford St on the Esplanande in the heart of Surfers Paradise, directly opposite the famous, and patrolled Surfers Paradise surf beach.   Cavill Avenue with all it's shopping, restaurants, and entertainment is a 250 metre stroll to the north along the Esplanade.

From construction, the 47 story 137 metre high Peninsula Resort remained the tallest residential building in Australia until 1991; and the tallest tower on the Gold Coast until 1992.
